Private Messaging Feature
Communicating through comments is nice and all but the ability to message people following you ( maybe make it a requirement that they have to be following you for you to message them ) would be nice. A messenger tab at the bottom would be ideal, easy to find!

To alleviate the off topic load, maybe establish a PM system for premium users (age filter) to be able to request a session and be accepted by the other person. Attach it to their follower list, and have the token on the session expire in a short time frame. This would enable the sharing of email addresses or other social media information. At that point, the communication would no longer be under your aegis.
If someone requests too many sessions, they can be kicked out for however long you deem appropriate. This would not be a chat program, just a chance to talk to someone who has become a good friend and extend communication outside of Pigment.
I really love this app and the community, and I know I go off topic. I worry about people, and try to help if I can. This community's experience and knowledge are helpful in life as well as art.
Please understand that a lot of us don't have social media accounts, let alone share with the wider community. -

I play another game where each user’s profile has a “wall.” You can post either public or private comments to them. Something like this would be very helpful. I would like to be able to post both public and private messages. It’s difficult to have a conversation with any amount of people when you have to keep finding the correct picture and then tagging everyone. Although I didn’t join the app to be social, I have made friends. No one wants to have to leave and use a different app to communicate efficiently. Maybe Pigment wasn’t created with major communication in mind, but once you introduce the social aspect, it’s bound to happen.

You can message them and you don’t have to comment if an art piece to talk to them.

Agreed! The comments feature is limited. While good for expressing support or simple greetings, it’s sorely lacking for discussing ideas and methods. Private messages would be much more timely and conducive for sharing information and conversations that will grow the community and hone the skills of colorists and designers.

Often times we learn from each other. It would be nice if we didn’t have to chat in a public forum when we want to discuss something with just one individual. Just a thought. 😀
