Moving pages in the same journal without dragging
Need to move pages to the desired place in the journal in an easier way than dragging them
Thanks for writing in this request! What do you imagine might be a better way to move pages around in your journal? Definitely open to suggestions!

There is an iOS feature you can use to move multiple pages at once within a journal. To rearrange multiple pages in your journal, tap and hold on the page you want to move, drag it slightly away from it's original spot while still holding onto it, then with the other finger tap on any other pages you'd like to move at the same time. You will see the pages get added to your selection and then you can drag and drop to your desired location.

I just started using Zinnia and thought I just couldn’t figure out how to do this because I couldn’t believe it can’t do it.

You can try something like this from good notes, or even Noteshelf

Making it easier to move pages around in a journal instead of just dragging. And including a way to move multiple pages at once. Possibly giving an option on where you would like a new page added in the journal, instead of always having it added to the beginning/bottom and needing to drag to where you left off.

I want to move my pages in my journal without scrolling for days. My journal pages are in the hundreds. All the other apps has this feature. I have had Zinnia for 3years now. May switch to an easier app.

Please please please!! We need this feature!! Need a feature other than dragging as I can’t move up more than what shows on the page. I recommend a setup with a sidebar on the right/left that shows all pages with the 3 horizontal bars to click and drag on a thumbnail scale. Also, multiple page moves at once would be nice. Like a select option or something.

Any update on this? Frustrated trying to organize my pages while editing pages in prepaid pdf/ planner. Page numbers and typing the page number in a search bar may help.

1. The hard part about moving or inserting new pages is easily finding where to drop the page while scrolling. If the existing pages are numbered with a shadowed number in the scrolling feature (see attached example) we would know where to place the new page. I need to mark the page myself with an identifying mark to easily access placement when I’m scrolling.
2. If the already created journal pages have a number feature on each page we would know where the new page would be placed. (2nd image)

I envision stacks. All my daily pages can be consolidated into a stack so I have less pages to go thru by minimizing the stack. I also have a stack of monthlies, so I can see the same use. I would love to be able to select multiple pages and then go search where I want to move them to. Your page thumbnail option is cumbersome and slow. Perhaps a bar of pages on the bottom would be quicker?

The ability to select and move multiple pages would be a great idea, as well. A pop-up that allows the ability to move pages by page number (before/after page#). Also, the ability to place “moved” pages from one journal to another with the same methods as suggested above, instead of at the end of a journal (by default).

Hi! To be able to move multiple pages at a time and/or copy and paste pages to where you want instead of having to physically move it which right now is a very slow process because you can only move a page a few spaces at a time which can be very time consuming for a large journal/planner. I hope this helps!

Quickest exemplar = The page thumbnail navigation available in apps like Reader, Preview, etc.: includes numbering, ability to move groups of pages (vs. dragging one by one), ability to see and select more at once so can more easily drag from start to end.
My scenario = I use Zinnia for work notebooks, chosen over other apps for the free-form the sketchbook quality and fundamental ease of use. In a meeting, I'm often adding pages to the *beginning* of the notebook as I need them, because swiping right = the quickest, easiest way to add a page. (I keep my notebooks in reverse chronological order, so that I'm opening to the most recent stuff -- a different function issue in Zinnia). But this means if I take 5 pages of notes, they end up in 5-4-3-2-1 order...which I have to rearrange after the meeting.
For me, this feature request of simply moving pages to the the desired place = under an umbrella desire to create additional structure to pages within notebooks, in general (e.g., table of contents/outline/notebook sections, as avail in some other notebook-oriented apps).

Yes, I had to take my journal out of zinnia, open it in acrobat to copy and move pages, then save it back to zinnia to get try pages the way I want them

Copy and paste pages in a journal to move and multiple pages at the same time. At the time, you can only move one page at a time and often the other pages won't scroll, so you have to drag it to a new place, passing just a couple of pages at a time.
