Add effects and filters to your finished work
Another coloring app that I use has options at the end to add effects to your finished work. You can remove the lines or change the color of the lines. You can also add background effects. For example, you can make your work look like it's on canvas or wood or fabric. You can add glitter or snow. I think Pigment could be a superior app to that one, but I will come in the other more simply because I can take out the black lines. It really makes the end result much more beautiful workout the black lines.
Thanks for the great suggestion, and to everyone who voted! The team had a chance to review and we are considering this idea. Stay tuned…

I have said the same thing. I think I used the other app for so long because I wasn’t as comfortable with Pigment. Once I got the flow, I really liked Pigment a lot more but this would elevate it SO MUCH.

I see this ideas was suggested in 2017, and “under review” since 2019! Gosh, how long does it take? I have switched to Color Therapy for this reason… the ability to remove lines. I have a lot of friends on CT that won’t use Pigment for this reason. It makes the finished artwork look so much better when lines are removed and also shows the skill involved. Not like grayscale! The lines need to be there for coloring but have the ability to remove them when artwork is completed. Your newer feature of being able to change the color of the lines is not helpful.

The new(ish) ability is awesome, but I REALLY like the idea of being able to remove the lines and/or color over the lines so they don’t show through.

Agree 100%! And I use the other app for the exact same reason - the ability to remove the lines (or to lower their opacity) in order to create a more artistic and less “template-y” piece. I also think Pigment would be the superior app if they added these feature - right now I use both as a premium user.

One of the other apps has feature where you can choose to change your picture to canvas, watercolour, oil paint. Also frames to finish picture off

Please please please offer filters that can be applied after picture is complete for different effects as well as the ability to change the color of the lines.

I like this idea but just want to comment that Procreate is an actual art creation program while Pigment was designed to be primarily a coloring app. It is nice that Pigment now offers a blank page and imports, and I have seen great work from very professional artists on Pigment. I will never turn down the offer of new features. That would be like handing back a birthday gift!

Honestly, we don’t need this. With the opacity now fixed on bloom and metal. I wanted this to look muted and as if they were really a part of the haze. All I did was pick the color I wanted, put bloom on a 5% opacity and tapped the page. Honestly, if people really want Pigment to look like Recolor or Color Art Therapy. They should have memberships there. Besides, right now, there are much more pressing issues.

I’d like to agree with this suggestion. I have many friends from Pigment (thank you) who also use and rave about Procreate. I’m going to try to learn more about it-but I love Pigment and don’t intend to ever quit it. But it would be wonderful to have the benefit of ‘drawing in the lines’ AND have the option to have the lines disappear. I never thought of it before reading this..... but I think it’s a brilliant idea.

I would love changing line color, and especially making the lines vanish. It changes the appearance of a picture very much!
Thank you for allowing suggestions! -

‘Procreate’ has an insane amount of effects...but if I do work there it doesn’t have reciprocal interoperability. I love Pigment it is by far the best app, when you combine the gallery and social structure, but Procreate has superior effects.

Be able to make your finished art look like it’s on a wall Paper or even glas etc. And being able to change the line colour as well would be really useful.
