Hello! Pigment's latest version supports using hashtags in the Gallery and Hashtag search! Please ensure you are using the latest version of Pigment. You can confirm this by searching for Pigment in the App Store and check if you see the "Update" button (if you do, tap it to install the latest version).

There is a new Editorial titled "Update 2.34" which includes some instructions on how to use hashtags and has a short video. Please let us know if you have any questions or more suggestions!

The ability to assign hash tags and search on them so you can gather all things related to one subject. Or even just search for a key word. For example it would be great to see all the entries for Leanne77’s weekly challenge or the ougnebt monthly challenge.

A way to post to one project (like Pigment Island) & have it reach all participants in that project. Or just be able to create a destination Gallery where all related work could be tagged.

I keep hearing about contests/competitions but I never see any an$ so I thought maybe they’re not official? Like a contributor holds them? But if that were the case, how on earth could I ever find that out without a search feature? And if there were a search feature, surely it would pick up hashtags in the description like #contest and I’d figure it out that way. If there are contests and #s and I’m just not seeing them (on iPad NOT pro, 9th gen) would you kindly lmk? Thanks!

I can think of a bunch: #daily, #challenge, #grayscale, #portrait, #landscape, #animals, #mandalas, #flowers, #space, #MCM…Monochrome Monday was recently featured by the moderators. It would be very helpful to users who want to participate in ‘homegrown’ events like this to have a hashtag feature. It fosters a greater sense of community, much like Spiderlady’s Group Activities account did. It would also help ‘struggling’ artists get their work out and seen by the community, functioning as a wider version of the ‘inspiration’ feature. See also Cindy D’s request to be able to sort your own gallery. This idea can easily dovetail with her request to be able to organise your gallery - another idea I love!

Yes! It would also make challenges more fun because we could easily sort by hashtag and find all the participating artworks. It would also be helpful for challenge creators to sort them and have everything right there easily.
