My main pain points are endless scrolling to reach a particular journal page, and organizing a whole shelf full of journals. Any sort of indexing system would be appreciated. Noteshelf does a fair job of book organizing. A page counter for each journal page would help with an indexing system. I love this app. I hate that it’s hard to find things quickly.

Would be great to hear an update on this. There has been so much amazing feedback. A timeline on when this change will happen would be appreciated, and any more detail on how it will work. Obviously a popular request and I know it’s one that would help permanently hook me.

This (other than an iPhone app) has been the key thing I wanted with Zinnia, and the main reason my use of the app fizzled out after a while. Once I finished a full month, it was just too long and annoying to scroll through my spreads. I’d love to have an index or customizable table of contents where I can click a link and go to a section - I can label my months, I can label yearly spreads, I can bookmark trackers I need to flip back to. Since I’m a heavy ebook reader, I’d point to the table of contents and bookmark systems in Kindle and iBooks for reference. These work quite well. I think just being able to flag pages (like adding a sticky note) in the scrolling spread view isn’t really enough. If we want a full yearly journal, it will get long, and needs a compact and customizable index that allows us to navigate the journal at a glance. I’ve switched to a paper journal for now, but with this and the iPhone app, I’d be very likely to switch back to Zinnia.

I would appreciate the possibility of sorting the journals and possibly moving them into folders. for example folder 2021 and in it Jounal January, February ...

I would love to see links within the app and links that can go to web pages as well.

I would like the ability to have an index in my planners. I use 1 planner for all months. So for now getting to December means a lot of scrolling. I would like a page in the beginning where I could hyperlink to jump to the month I need.

Yes a great example of simple organisation is Microsoft’s One Note, I love using Zinnia but am having to use other apps for organisation. I will have to unsubscribe if there is no improvement by 2021. Looking forward to the improvements.

The ability to go easily to different sections of a planner would be amazing (especially if those tabs were customizable.) I’m finding myself drawn to the GoodNotes planners simply for that feature....however, I much prefer the huge library of stickers, fonts etc that make this planner fun. Combine the two...fan for life.

Once you have many pages and collections in your bullet journal I'd be nice to easily come back to a marked page. I used to put wash tapes on my pages to easily come back to important locations

I am using this app to create journals and cookbooks. There should be a way to organize each journal to allow a “table of contents" feature.

It is hard to use a journal without some quick way to navigate. It would be best if we could create a hyperlink to any page in the book (or even a page in another book) preferably by clicking an image.

A table of contents area/index where I can connect page numbers and go straight to those pages.

I think there are three main features in this request:

1. As a user, I’d like to be able to quickly and easily navigate through my journal so that I don’t lose track of where everything is. I’d like to be able to pick a month to look at then drill down from the selected month to a week within that month, then drill down from that selected week to a day within that week.
I would also need the ability to drill back out (back button)
2. I would also like the ability to create sections. Each section would represent the chapter/category or tab and could link to anything the user wants (recipe, finances, planning the take over of the next galaxy, home made remedies, secret formulas... the world is your oyster really)
3. I would also like to be able to highlight/mark a specific word and search for it at a later stage. For example, I’d like to be able to highlight the world ‘recipe’ or ‘laser beam construction’ wherever it appears in my pages and once delivery of the canon has been received, I’d like to be able to go back through my notes, searching only for references to the laser beam. Similar to ‘find on page’ feature.

I’m really keen to understand when delivery is scheduled for :)

I wasn’t one of the voters, but I assume it’s because navigation between a planner with a lot of pages can be difficult. The hyperlinks would expedite moving between a daily, weekly, and monthly set of planner pages. Else, you would have to manually navigate through possibly hundreds of pages to get to the one that you were looking for on that particular month, day, or week. I can totally see what the customers are trying to do, I’m just not sure that I would prescibe that it has to be indexed hyperlinks, etc. I think your developers are genius enough to think of a creative solution! I’m happy to talk to you more about the usability issue and what someone is trying to accomplish!

After using Zinnia very intensely for about three months, here is how I use it:
- only for journaling. I use another app (Notability) for note taking when studying and I think it’s OK. Zinnia is a perfect replacement for my Moleskine, and I like how uncluttered the UI is. it’s just *Perfect* for journaling. Other things on the UI when writing, like tabs or such, would detract a lot from the user experience.
however, I usually have monthly trackers at the beginning of the month, which means I have to scroll through the pages every day several times to go back to the beginning of the month, then back to the last page... and repeat many times. In my Moleskine, I would have some kind of bookmark on the beginning of the month page. The way I’m managing it now is I create a very vivid page at the beginning of the month, and another one white with just a drawing at the beginning of the week, so that at least visually I know where to go. But adding 2-4 pages every day, at the end of August I had to scroll a lot to get back to the beginning of the momth.

For my usage, being able to boomark pages would suffice for all the “indexing” needs I have. I would keep a bookmark at the beginning of the month, one at tbe beginning of the week and maybe one where I have other yearly trackers or goal pages. A bookmark menu at the top would do it all for me!

I’d love to create section in the journal, such as trackers, free journaling, months, and close them up as the month completes. Sill have them there for reviewing later, but put away in a “section” or “clip” (paper clip icon or binder clip) them away to neaten up the pages view.

Been using Zinnia for about a month... indexing has become super important! But I wouldn’t like tomsee tabs, I think one of the very attractive features of Zinnia is the clean and undistracted page. I just want indexing. Not too sure about in-page links though, Zinnia is beautiful because it’s very close to a paper notebook!

Or a way to hyperlink to web pages so I can add links to places to purchase items on my lists or links for google maps for addresses in my calendar
