Crop, mask, or erase parts of content and photos
Just a few examples: I would definitely want to apply, for instance, a paper texture behind (or into) a frame. If the frame is hand-drawn I may want to create a mask that follows the contours of the frame. Or if the frame and texture are of different proportions I may want to crop the texture so it fits. Or I may not want to scale the texture down, so I would create a mask to reveal a portion of the texture at 100% of size.
You can now crop Studio content and photos in Zinnia!

It would be awesome to crop and even possibly remove the background of images when I am making scrapbook style pages.

I wish you guys can add a cutout like if i wanted to cut the person from the background, and divide the images, have a beautiful day

A freehand cropping tool is essential. I purchased Zinnia but I will not be paying for it next month because I have to rely on Goodnotes to crop my images and it kills the quality when transferring. Plus the resizing feature should be more sophisticated like in Goodnotes. We should be able to play with the width too as well as length and overall size.

Please! Give us cropping tools. Rectangular crop and FREEHAND crop. How can we journal without being able to cut our images and paste them the way we like?
Do the devs read these at all?

This is sorely needed! I’m honestly surprised and disappointed that this hasn’t been considered important enough to be planned for yet.

For example I want to use these two photos as a background in my journal but one photo fits it perfectly and the other i need to crop just a little bit to get it into the same size. The problem is that i cant crop the photo before importing the photo so cropping it in the app is crucial.

Would love to have a freehand crop tool. Right now, I edit my photo in Goodnotes and paste to Zinnia.

Chinese translation: The inserted picture cannot be freely cropped and edited. I don’t like this. I hope it can be improved.

We need to be able to crop pictures please. And importing a PDF would be nice, but cropping is more important.

The ability to lasso with options of freeform or cut straight. Or pattern cut out.

Ability to use the lasso tool to snip/clip images kind of like the screenshot snipping tool for Microsoft Windows. For example, if upload an image of some hand drawn stickers from another app I have the ability to snip or crop out what I don’t need.

The ability to crop pre-made templates so they better suit you. E.g if you like one part of a template but not a different section you could crop it out.

So, if an image is hanging outside of a frame, the excess can be erased

I would love to be able to erase parts of images that I have added to the page. I feel it is an important element with collage work

Freehand cropping + regular cropping NEEDS to be a feature in any journaling app. It’s the essence of journaling. I have been wanting to buy Zinnia but the lack of cropping tools is holding me back. I have to rely on other apps to cut out parts of my photos. It really needs to be something we can do in-app. GoodNotes does it well. Please look into it. Thank you!

When uploading my own photos, I’d like to make them either a circle, square, oval, star etc. Instead of just rectangle.
