With the way income disparity is in the US alone, this is an amazing idea. Allow someone to purchase the app as-is today. Continue to tell them about future versions and show them content that’s new can’t have. Badge them with a subscribe button. Make it very clear. Canva is doing something like this but for free. I think people just have a hard time realizing what they want to use and giving them that habituation but with clear problems and no app updates for older versions, the added value would be well worth it.

I use Zinnia as a way to keep my actual calendar, and it holds my household chores, tasks, and shared priorities. I would love a way to share and collaborate on a file, a-la Figjam / Figma collaboration. Even if it was read-only access to my most updated files, it would be a huge step in reducing complexity
