An error occurred while saving the comment Lyric commentedThis is a great suggestion. While it’s helpful having the recently used palette, if you’ve experimented with a dozen shades to get the right colors, it’s impossible sometimes to tell which one of the shades is the right one. Creating temporary palettes that are attached to specific designs would be awesome. It would also help with another user suggestion—sharing of custom pallets.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lyric commentedI don’t think the original poster is being mean spirited. When gobs of people have left you likes and comments, you naturally feel obligated to reciprocate with gratitude. When you’re stressed out and all you want to do is get lost in the zen of coloring, having that sense of obligation niggling in your mind can be a source of frustration. I’ve spoken with many Pigment users that feel the same way.
There are tools Pigment could provide that would allow us to filter the activity log and make batch responses possible. They could even provide a simple button that would mark each comment as acknowledged for the original commenter.
We have a similar problem with galleries. Clearly, Pixite never anticipated that Pigment would grow into the social platform that it has and the app is inadequate in some areas because of it. The changes we are requesting to the activity log (and galleries too) would require some major overhauling on the backend. I think, especially for Premiums subscribers, it’s not unreasonable to expect these expanded features. That said, it won’t happen in a short span of time.
Meanwhile, because Pigment is such a lovely community, let us endeavor to be kind in how we interpret and interact with others.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lyric commentedI agree. Having layers would be vastly helpful.
Let me caution, though, that it’s better to not have them than to have them full of glitches. The Amaziograph app that I use for most of my designs has a layering feature but you have to be extremely careful with it because it crashes the app and you lose your work—sometimes your entire design. I suspect it’s related to how much memory is available to the app on the iPad.
Every benefit that's already posted here in this thread is real and tangible and I would enjoy using layers here in Pigment. Just get it right out of the gate.
Pixite, layers and better tools for managing the gallery are the most-bang-for-your-buck features you can add to enhance customer experience. After increasing the price of a yearly premium subscription by a whopping 50%, some significant enhancements on this scale are warranted.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lyric commentedThe galleries for both Pigment and its customers are barely functional. They display images in LIFO order and allow basic commenting. With thousands of images in Pigment’s galleries and hundreds, if not thousands, in some personal galleries, locating an image literally (true meaning of the word) impossible. It is impossible to locate images from as recent as a few hours ago in some cases. Heaven forbid needing to find a post seen yesterday, last week, or last month.
For an adequate customer experience, galleries need the following options:
1. Sorting (By date, by user, by #hashtag).
2. Filtering (By date range, library, user, #hashtag)
3. Pagination (top, of page, bottom of page, prev, next, last, and page number selection and input).
4. Image resolution selection. There are many who use Pigment whose Internet speeds are godawful slow. The ability to peruse the gallery with low resolution images would be helpful. Hi res could be optional once the desired image is located and selected.
5. #Hashtags!!!!! In the absence of any method for customers to categorize the images we share (challenges, tutorials, thank you, etc.), #hashtag functionality is highly desirable. What say you, @Pigment?

An error occurred while saving the comment Lyric commentedI support this idea. It marries well with the “Add folders in My Work” suggestion which is under review. A solution for the one may provide a solution for the other.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lyric commentedAgreed! The comments feature is limited. While good for expressing support or simple greetings, it’s sorely lacking for discussing ideas and methods. Private messages would be much more timely and conducive for sharing information and conversations that will grow the community and hone the skills of colorists and designers.
