Folders / shelves - to organize by month, topic, or archive old journals
Organize journals by month, topic, or have an "archive" folder to put old journals.
Could also put folders inside a journal, so for example, what this user requested:
In a 12 months planner, I want to be able to close Out months when I’m finished with them, but easily reopen for reference later as needed. Or if my journal has several topics, be able to open and close those topics and work within one space at a time. Page organizing.
We have some exciting news to share - folders are here! To create a new folder, just tap the "+" icon in the upper right-hand corner. To move a journal into a folder, you can long hold on the journal using your finger or Apple pencil and drag and drop it into the folder you want. You can also move your journal to a folder using the three dot menu in the bottom right-hand corner of the journal. We hope you love this new feature!

I see that folders have been added, but you can’t move a journal into one, only start a new journal from inside a new folder? I can’t recall how I came across make a new folder but I did, somewhere!

Yes we need folders like Goodnotes has so we don’t have to scroll through all our journals or delete old ones for visibility

Being able to create my own folders within a ‘journal’ So that I can have folders for each month of the calendar within one book, and then within my month folder I can have week folders and then days too if I want

I would love to be able to organize my journal into sections based on month, week, etc but there seems to be no obvious way of achieving this. Enabling folders within a journal would also make the linking feature more powerful by enabling users to build meaningful index pages.

Yes, I also would find this super helpful, especially for school course organization. I hope it's considered! Right now I have all my info in one journal (syllabus and slides for each class). I already know I'm gonna be struggling and scrolling endlessly to find a slide from a specific class without this feature.

Oh my gosh, this is so funny because I posted something like this as well. I called it dividers or tabs or different folders, but I agree, because it would be really nice to have something to organize our journals a little bit more. For example, if someone wants to use journals for self studying, they could have an entire tab or folder section specifically for their studying. Another example like you mentioned is a kitchen tab or kitchen folder because it could be used to put all our great recipes and divided up into meals like breakfast, lunch, supper, desserts, or party snacks. Haha

Is this going to be added anytime soon? I’m seriously considering leaving. But don’t want to because no other app has as many stickers and such but I hate not being able to organize my journals. This has been “under review” for over a year now. Ive been faithfully sticking by because I’ve been waiting for this.

Yes! Sometimes I like to keep important school information in my planner for easy access but I wish it had a place instead of adding it randomly somewhere in my planner!!

LOVE THIS APP and I have SOOOO many Journals! I’d like to organize them into a category so it can make accessing them in a way that makes sense to me. I’d like to make a “coursework” section for all my study journals, and an “Arts” section for all my creative journals. Maybe a “Personal” section for my private journals….. I like to organize, and this would be HANDY! LOVE THIS APP!!!!! Thank you soooooooo much!!!! I’m obsessed!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes, please! If you have more than abhor 3 or 4 notebooks, it’s so hard to keep track, and the interface starts to look really cluttered.

A sub-folders for each area so I can keep my entire planning in one place. That way, I can keep all of my project planning together. Home design > Kitchen, or master bedroom. etc. If not, then be able to link from one notebook to another notebook.

I have a lot of journals I use for various tutorials, by importing pdf’s. I would like to sort them into a topic folder instead of manually searching for the specific journal I am looking for.

Not only to I use this to journal, I use the app to replace notebooks and take notes for uni. I have lots of note books for different nodules for uni and would like it if I could put this all into one folder away from my personal journals

I would like to be able to save my stuff into folders or collections. I have different types of projects that I do in this app so I have different templates, stickers, icons, etc... Saved but they have no order. I would also like to save different journals into collections.

I would like to merge recipe journals together as I have too many recipes to sift through and I need to divide them up by type and have them all grouped together
